Kinetic Fiber is an internet technology that transmits data by sending light waves along thin glass fibers. Traditional cable internet transmits data by sending electricity over copper wires. This allows fiber optics lines to send information faster and over longer distances resulting in higher speeds and greater bandwidth.
Typically, upload speeds are much slower than download speeds. For example, a plan advertising cable internet for 200 Mbps may deliver upload speeds as low as 10 Mbps.
